I love to make all sorts of Holiday things and this cake is no exception. Super fun and a great and EAsy way to show your 4th of July Spirit.

Ingredients

Original recipe makes 1 – 9×13 inch cake
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package White cake mix
  • 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 pint blueberries, rinsed and drained
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries, rinsed and sliced

Directions

  1. Prepare cake according to package directions and bake in a 9×13 inch pan. Cool completely.
  2. ** YOUR CHOICE** For added fun poke holes in cake after it cools and make up a liquid Jello Mixture Red or Blue and let set to room temp. Then pour over cake
  3. Otherwise just Frost cake with whipped topping. Place blueberries in a square in the corner, and arrange sliced strawberries as stripes to make an American flag. Chill until serving.
  4. Boy some sparklers and insert into cake right before serving, Light and have a Sparkling Cake for your guests!

Spectacular Sunday~Asian Beauty

There is an enchanting beauty to the Asian dress. I do not know whether it is the shimmer and sheen of their fabrics, the cuts and lines of their items or the vibrancy in their design. What I do know is that their fashions hold an ethereal attraction to me. I am enthralled with it. I look upon their dresses and other clothing items and I feel as if I have been transformed and taken away to another place and time. Allow me to show you a few of their intriguing designs.

Most of these are a style called Cheongsam and come in a variety of colors.
Let’s start with red. Do you recall from last week’s “Try It Tuesday” post which reds are cool and which are warm? Did you “try it”?

What about you? Is your color blue?

Now we take a look at the yellows, which were very difficult to find. It seems yellow is a less common color.

Shall we move forward to green?
And then there’s orange. You have to be careful here. Fashion shades blur at times; reds & oranges walk a fine line on a thin tightrope.
Now, purple. Shades of purple.
Pink shades are lovely. From bold to pastel.
Now on to the lovely black backgrounds.
And we finish with the white backgrounds.
As you can see, it does not matter which color or shade you choose,
this particular style is amazingly beautiful no matter what.
What is your favorite fashion/style?
